Experiencing these veteran artists bringing back the Rockin' Jump and Swing movement while remaining entrenched with heavy lingering flavors of

The Blues’ will bridge the gap of several generations.  From the moment

D X Biscuit takes the stage they stuff the crowd into their back pocket and do not release them until they have lathered them in their own private party.

The evolution of the band started in 1964 out of an addiction for  "King Biscuit Time", a nationally syndicated blues radio show out of Helena, AK featuring Sonny Boy Williamson and sponsored by the Helena radio station and King Biscuit Flour Company.  The “King Biscuit Blues Band” was formed that year.

In November of 1998, the group was served with a Cease and Desist order from King Biscuit Entertainment Group of New York City, claiming infringement on King Biscuit Entertainment Group’s trademark and patent rights dating back to 1973.  Members of the original 1964 “King Biscuit Blues Band” had failed to trademark the name.  As a result, the band was forced to change their name and D X Biscuit was then reformed with all but one of the members of King Biscuit remaining.  From that point forward no original members of King Biscuit remained in the band.

Over nearly a decade the band's popularity has grown tremendously having been named as:

1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2003

Through the years, the band has had members come and go.  D X Biscuit® is now a Registered Trademarked name owned by Robert Sandidge and Shawn Irelan.  D X Biscuit consists of Irelan, Sandidge, John Carston, and Michael Hopkins.  Irelan sings lead vocals and plays lead guitar; Sandidge is drummer and backing vocals; Carston fronts the band as lead vocalist; and Hopkins adds vocals and bass.  D X Biscuit enlists the help of all these veteran musicians as needed with the band touring as a four to six piece band, depending on the venue and the needs of the presenters or buyers.  D X Biscuit is able to tailor their performances with a wide repertoire of music ranging from Jump Blues with some Swing feel to a more Rockin' R & B style.  They perform originals for concerts and festivals but are also an ideal talent for conventions, special occasions, and all other functions where the buyer wants a band that knows how to move a crowd.

D X Biscuit is managed, booked and promoted through R L S Entertainment Enterprises and can be reached by email or by calling (509) 662-MUSC (6872).

D X Biscuit® have no affiliations with any organizations, individual or individuals using the name King Biscuit.
